Second Harvest Food Bank Honors REALTORS® for Harvest Auction Fund Drive
The SAMCAR Foundation is truly honored to be recognized by Second Harvest Food Bank for the "Make Hunger History" Gold award. SAMCAR members raised over $3,600 at the Harvest Auction, which was matched by an anonymous donor, helping Second Harvest provide over 14,000 meals! Thank you all for your generous support of amazing organizations like Second Harvest Food Bank through participating in SAMCAR Foundation charitable activities!

Thank you for your outstanding efforts in support of feeding our neighbors in need! San Mate County Realtors Foundation joined over 2,000 companies, community groups and schools that hosted Food and Fund Drives because of one common vision: Ending hunger in Silicon Valley.
Across our community, companies organized cook-offs, kids turned their birthday parties into fundraisers, and students canvassed shoppers at local grocery stores for support. Every drive is unique, but the results are the same – ensuring that healthy meals are available to those who need them.
All the food and money collected from drives like your created over 20 million meals for our community – that's enough to feed more than 18,000 people 3 meals a day for a year! To celebrate your success, we are honored to present your enclosed Gold award. Congratulations!
Despite the booming economy, more people rely on Second Harvest for food than ever before – we feed an average of 257,000 people a month. What's more, our recent Food Insecurity Study showed that there are almost twice as many in our community we are not yet reaching who are at risk of hunger. The success of last year's Food and Fund Drives are an extraordinary example of how we can change lives when we join forces.
We recognize there is a lot of work to do, and together we will end hunger. On behalf of the children, seniors and families we serve, thank you for your support!
