SAMCAR Foundation Supported Organizations

Every year, local REALTORS® go beyond the call of duty to improve the quality of people's lives in San Mateo County. Through the San Mateo County REALTORS® Foundation and its fundraisers, the members of the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® (SAMCAR) fund grants and donations to local charities including: Caminar, CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse), Downtown Streets Team, Family Service Agency of San Mateo County, Foster City Village, Hip Housing, Home & Hope, Housing Endowment & Regional Trust (HEART), Housing Leadership Council, Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco, LifeMoves, Mission Hospice & Home Care, Rebuilding Together Peninsula, Retraining the Village, Samaritan House, Second Harvest Food Bank, Society of St. Vincent de Paul of San Mateo County, StarVista and many more.

CORA Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse

Foundation Grant to CORA Supports Housing Survivors of Domestic Abuse

In August 2021, the SAMCAR Foundation awarded CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse) a $2,500 grant to provide support towards keeping domestic violence survivors and their children safely housed in the San Carlos area. San Bruno Community Foundation Honors 2021 Crestmoor Scholars

Last September, the SAMCAR Foundation made a donation to the San Bruno Community Foundation supporting the Crestmoor Neighborhood Memorial Scholarship and we are honored that this contribution could help support the 13 outstanding San Bruno students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to the San Bruno community with multi-year college scholarships totaling $195,000. SAMCAR Foundation Donates $7,349 to San Bruno Community Foundation

In September 2020, the SAMCAR Foundation donated funds in the amount of $7,349 to the San Bruno Community Foundation for the Crestmoor Neighborhood Memorial Scholarship. The story of why that exact dollar amount was donated, how it was raised and how it made its way to the recipient organization has been a decade in the making.
